France: Paris & Loire Valley
(Photos 31-35)

My brother and I spent 10 days in France, visiting Paris and the castles (known there as the "chateaus") of Loire Valley. I am a professional photographer and took dozens of shots, most of which I've saved as the proper size for computer wallpaper.

You can certainly scroll through the thumbnails on the next several pages or you can go to my cheat sheet to see a text-only list of the subjects of the photos on the various pages.

The Notre Dame cathedral rises over the trees and the vine-covered river wall.

I took this from a bridge on the other side of Notre Dame. You can see it's famous skyline over the trees. That's a tourist boat in the water, by the way.

No, I didn't "doctor" this photo. The flowers really are this color outside the Chenonceau castle.

Look closely at this photo. During World War II, the left side of the Chenonceau castle touched German-occupied France. The right side touched "free" France. How many people tried to escape through the halls of Chenonceau, which sits over the river?
