I'm a father, journalist,
photographer, newspaper Internet consultant and
editor of The High Springs Herald. The Herald, a 54-year-old community weekly
newspaper, was my home from 1990 to 1995, when it was named the best weekly
in Florida and one of the best in the country. I rejoined The Herald in 2003 as its editor, and the paper is one against ranked #1 in Florida. Prior to accepting a position
with The Herald, I was the general
manager of the Internet department at the St. Petersburg Times, the largest
newspaper in Florida. Prior to that, I had the good fortune of being the
Internet editor of the then nation's #1-ranked newspaper Website at the Sun
Herald newspapers in Southwest Florida.
Oh, I almost
forgot to mention that I'm also the oldest of 9 kids. Yes, 9 kids. I can
clean baby poop with amazing speed.
I grew up with
Spider-Man comic books, began writing for newspapers in 8th grade of middle
school and have worked for a newspaper every day of my life since then. At
age 40, my dream is to be the first journalist in space.
Why this site,
you ask? Pure vanity. In fact, if you'll hit your reload a button a few times
to run up my counter, I'd very much appreciate it.
(True story:
When I told a psychologist friend of mine about this site, she said, "How
long have you been in love with yourself?)
Just Added!!
Screensavers -- I finally took
the hundreds of photos I have taken over the years and grouped them by themes,
then placed them into screensavers you can download to your computer.
3-D Photography -- Yes, I actually am in possession of
my very own 3-D camera. And I've taken photos across the U.S. and across
the world with it. Check them out. If you'd like me to come to your home
or office to take 3-D photos, go HERE.
360-Degree 'Moving' Virtual Reality -- I bought my own
IPIX camera and took shots where you can see in every direction, including
up, down and behind you. It's incredible. Heck, you can even "stand" on the
Eiffel Tower in Paris and look around. If you'd like me to come to your home
or office to take 360-degree photos, go HERE.
