My Work

I have written literally thousands of newspaper stories and columns since I started writing in middle school in West Palm Beach. There was no way, however, that I was gonna re-type those suckers and have them reprinted here.

So, instead, I offer you a few samplings of material that already are on the Internet:

Musings

  • A Married Woman & Me -- Here is the true story of how I ended up under a desk with a married woman just as her husband arrived home. No kidding.
  • Snakes & Alligators -- My Dad was upside down under a bridge with a snake in one hand and an alligator beneath him. Need I say more?
  • My First Narcotic -- These are the first few sentences: I was young. I was naive. I was face down in the bathtub, naked, with my face pasted to the drain.
  • Skydiving -- Everybody who skydives for the first time must write about the experience.
  • Senior Citizens & Me -- I live in the county with the 3rd highest concentration of senior citizens.
  • 1996 Olympics -- From the Opening Ceremonies to the Atlanta bombing, I write about it all. Also included is a slide show.
  • Why Are Customers Treated Poorly? -- In a single day, I became very angry.
Photographs
  • Computer Wallpaper -- From the mountains of Utah to Florida theme parks, I have taken many shots that you can save on your computer as desktop wallpaper. (If you're not sure how to save wallpaper on your computer, there are easy, 2-step directions on each page. It takes seconds to do.)
  • Helicopter Rescuing Boy -- This shot, winner of the state journalism competition, was taken in High Springs in the early 1990s and shows a very dramatic scene of a helicopter landing as medics huddle over a fallen boy.
  • Beauty Queen With Bull & Chickens -- When the local beauty queen was chosen in High Springs, I learned she was a farmer and thought it would make a great photo to get her in her glamorous shiny gown, standing in a field holding a bull by the nose (no kidding) while goats and chickens surrounded her. I've never had so much fun taking a photo.
  • Olympics -- When I attended the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, I took photos from a fan's perspective and made them into a slide show.
360-Degree Virtual Reality 'Moving' Photos
  • Virtual Reality Shots -- In these shots, you take control of the photo and can see in every direction, including behind you and above you. It's incredible stuff.
