For the many Spider-man fans across the country who will never make it to Universal Studios' Island of Adventure in Orlando, I wanted you to get a taste of what it's like to visit Marvel Super Hero Island and, in particular, the Spider-Man ride.

Photos 1-20 deal specifically with the Spider-man ride. The rest were taken from around the Marvel Super Hero Island.

A note about the ride: To get on the ride, you first walk through the offices of the Daily Bugle. As you walk around, you learn via television broadcasts that several super villains have taken over the city. (I won't give away the details.) Anyhow, J. Jonah Jameson, the publisher of the Daily Bugle, is in short supply of reporters, and he recruits you -- and your tourist friends around you -- to get into an experimental vehicle called the "Scoop" to go cover Spider-Man's fight with the villains.

And that's where the fun begins.
